    Dan Schnur is the Director of the Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics at the University of Southern California. He is also the founder and Director of the USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll series.�In 2010, Dan was appointed Chairman of the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC). During his tenure, he implemented groundbreaking campaign finance disclosure requirements for independent committees. Dan also was a founder and co-chairman of the Voices of Reform project, the bi-partisan statewide effort whose work laid the foundation for California’s landmark redistricting reform.In 2014, Dan ran for statewide office as a non-partisan candidate for California Secretary of State.Dan is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of California at Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies and has taught at the John F. Kennedy School of Government’s Institute of Politics at Harvard University and George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.Dan has worked on four presidential and three gubernatorial campaigns as one of California’s leading political strategists. He served as the national Director of Communications for the 2000 presidential campaign of U.S. Senator John McCain and was the chief media spokesman for California Governor Pete Wilson.��Dan has been an advisor to the William & Melinda Gates Foundation, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Broad Education Foundation, the Pew Charitable Trusts, the James Irvine Foundation, the Public Policy Institute of California and the Stuart Foundation on a variety of K-12 education and college and workforce preparedness efforts.

    Jeffrey Fried joined BAM from the Edwards Wildman Palmer Law Firm, where he was a Partner and the Senior Legal Risk Manager for the firm's Public Finance Practice. From 2007 to 2011, he was a Partner at Greenberg Traurig, where he helped to establish a national public infrastructure practice focused on municipal finance, public-private partnerships and regional public finance underwritings. Before that, he served as a Senior Managing Director and Group Head in Public Finance at FGIC and earlier was General Counsel, Public Finance and General Counsel, AFSLP at AMBAC. He has a B.S. from State University of New York at Albany and a J.D. from the Fordham School of Law.

    Shawn Maher is Managing Director and Head of U.S. Regulatory and Government Affairs for Royal Bank of Canada.� He reports to Francine Blackburn, RBC’s Chief Compliance Officer and Executive Vice President for Regulatory and Government Affairs.� He is responsible�for�advancing RBC's enterprise and business-specific strategic objectives within legislative and regulatory bodies in the�United States. Prior to joining RBC, Shawn�served in the White House as�the Deputy�Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs and Senate Liaison.� He also worked as Majority Staff Director and General Counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs.� In addition, he served as Legislative Director to Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT), and as Staff Director and Chief Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Consumer Credit and Insurance. He also served as Law Clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Mary Johnson Lowe of the Southern District of New York. He is a graduate of Harvard College and New York University School of Law.� ��

    An award-winning analyst, Peter brings over 20 years of experience in credit research and consulting to Piper Jaffray’s Strategic Analytics Group where he supports the firm’s sales and public finance efforts by focusing on general credit issues affecting the market.�� Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Peter worked in the municipal research department of two investment banks, BMO Capital Markets GKST, Inc. and EVEREN Securities, Inc.; the tax-supported and transportation groups at Fitch Ratings, where he co-led the airports rating team and served on the criteria committee; and the finance practice of Ricondo & Associates, Inc., a leading provider of feasibility studies and other financial consulting to the nation’s airports.��

    Based in Los Angeles, Chris Jauregui is an Assistant Vice President with Plenary Group. Chris focuses on the commercial and financial components of Plenary Group’s project pursuits. He is currently pursuing civil and social infrastructure P3s across North America. Most recently, Chris was instrumental in reaching financial close on the Long Beach Civic Center project.Prior to joining Plenary, Chris was based in New York with InfraRed Capital Partners.Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School.�

    Mr. Madres has 15 years of experience in the structuring and issuance of debt obligations for political entities in Texas and around the U.S. While serving as financial advisor or underwriter, Mr. Madres has managed or supported the bond issuance process for over $15 billion in debt obligations.�Prior to Estrada Hinojosa, Mr. Madres worked for FirstSouthwest Company, J.P. Morgan, Public Resources Advisory Group, and Public Financial Management.� Mr. Madres has specialized in infrastructure related projects, with a strong focus on toll road, mass transit, water, and public power, and has experience issuing debt under traditional and project finance/P3 methods.��Mr. Madres was born and raised in Philadelphia, and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.�

    Gerry is a senior credit analyst within the municipal fixed income group at Wilmington Trust Investment Advisors, Inc., the investment advisory arm of Wilmington Trust. Gerry joined Wilmington Trust in May 2014 and currently covers the transportation sector as well as state and local credits within the southeast and southcentral United States.�He began his career as a municipal credit analyst at Moody's Investors Service in 1987 before moving to the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation to work on the New York State Water Pollution Control Loan Program in 1990. In 1993 he joined Ambac Assurance Corporation. While at Ambac, Gerry was the Credit Director at Ambac’s Cadre Financial Services, a Managing Director of Ambac’s General Municipal Underwriting Team and a member of the Public Finance Senior Credit Committee. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust Gerry was the Chief Operating Officer at Espacio – Sami Hayek and served as a consultant at several organizations including the National Association of Insurance CommissionersGerry holds a master's degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in in History and Political Science from LeMoyne College. He is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA) and the Municipal Analyst Group of New York (MAGNY). Gerry and his wife Kristine live in Montclair, NJ with their 3 children.�

    Olivier is Meridiam’s Global Risk Officer, in charge of the company’s worldwide risk management, covering the investment process and asset management across all Meridiam funds, as well as all related regulatory activities with the SEC and the French “Autorit� des March�s Financiers” for Europe.Oliver has been working in infrastructure finance since 1996. After five years in the banking sector (Credit Lyonnais and Dexia), Olivier joined Financial Security Assurance in 2001, first in their London office as a senior underwriter and, from 2006, in their NY headquarters as Managing Director in charge of FSA’s infrastructure finance operations in the Americas until he joined Meridiam in March 2010.��
