    John Seely Brown is Independent Co-chairman of Deloitte LLP Center for the Edge. John is the independent co-chairman of the Silicon Valley-based Deloitte Center for the Edge, which conducts original research and develops substantive points of view for new corporate growth. In addition, he is an Advisor to the Provost and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Southern California, a position he has held since 2003. This position followed a lengthy tenure at Xerox Corporation, where he served as chief scientist (1992-2002) and director of the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) (1985-2000). While head of PARC, JSB expanded the role of corporate research to include such topics as organizational learning, complex adaptive systems, micro electrical mechanical system (MEMS) and Nanotechnology. His research interests include digital culture, ubiquitous computing, service-oriented architectures, global innovation networks and learning ecologies.

Tony is an accomplished author with his book titled Into the River: How Big Data, the Long Tail, and Situated Cognition are the Changing the World of Market Insights Forever. Tony has held research and consulting positions in the technology industry over the last two decades and worked at companies like General Electric, TNS and Ipsos.
